Chronotherapy offers an alternative to traditional prescription dosing, according to speakers at an American Medical Association media briefing on Feb 29, 1996, in New York, NY. The homeostatic approach to medicine involves basing prescription dosing on a patient's natural body rhythms. The controversial practice can be used with a wide range of illnesses including heart disease, allergies, cancer, mood disorders, heart disease, hypertension, ulcers and arthritis.

NIMH spearheads new anxiety education campaign
Article Abstract:
The National Institute of Mental Health, with help from the American Medical Assn and other health organizations, has launched the Anxiety Disorders Education Program, which is intended to better inform the US about anxiety disorders. NIMH director Steven E. Hyman, in comments at a press briefing on the program, said that healthcare professionals and the public need to be informed that anxiety disorders are diagnosable and treatable.
