Article Abstract:
A well conceived hiring system can reduce the time and cost to a physician of training new employees, provide increased security against discrimination lawsuits, and yield increased productivity over the long term. The vital steps in designing such a system include providing a clear description of the position to be filled, outlining the factors on which applicants will be selected, and introducing an evaluative process for assessing their abilities.
