Work force summit: stakeholders sound off as AMA refines stance on GME funding
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Association's Council on Medical Education is drafting a position paper to present to lawmaker as they consider graduate medical education (GME) funding reforms. The group's draft document shares several major similarities with the American Medical Association's policy on GME. Both proposals recommend that public and private payers contributed to a GME fund and both call for the establishment of government-authorized bodies to oversee changes in GME funding.
