Bill Laimbeer

Bill Laimbeer, a basketball coach, rescued women's pro basketball in Detroit and built the Shock into Women's National Basketball Association champions. After retiring in 1993, almost 14 years as a player in the NBA, he had participated in four All-Star Games, helped the Detroit Pistons win NBA titles two years in a row and become one of 19 players in NBA history to score career totals of more than 10,000 points and more than 10,000 successful rebounds.
