Better information leads to safety: British companies should expand in the use of information technology in the battle to reduce the soaring number of accidents in the workplace
Article Abstract:
Occupational illnesses can be tackled more effectively according to a new report, European Working Environment in Figures, published by the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. A steering group was formed to investigate health and safety issues and to seek out available and valid data. The report showed that common risk groups involve musculo-skeletal disorders, in all European countries, and it makes recommendations to improve the monitoring of working conditions.
