Company accords spark debate on working time
Article Abstract:
The company level agreements to increase working time and reduce pay, in order to reduce costs, have triggered an argument. The companies have threatened to relocate workstations away from Germany if the work time is not increased. The details of the agreements their impact on various issues like Germany's sectoral bargaining, are discussed.

Company accords unleash working time debate
Article Abstract:
The efforts of companies to reduce costs by increasing the working hours without increase in pay are discussed. The unions appreciate this move of companies, as it would save their jobs. The companies are either planning to relocate their stations or demand for abolishing 35-hour week working time.
