HSE launches designing in safety initiative
Article Abstract:
Workplace accidents cause approximately 80 deaths among construction workers each year besides major injuries to thousands. The objective of a new initiative launched by the Health and Safety Executive and its partners is to eliminate or reduce risk to construction workers through better design as research has indicated that between 17% to 47% of these accidents could be prevented or mitigated.
