On 28 November, 2002, the high-level representatives from European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), the private sector employers' organization (UNICE), the organization of small and medium-sized enterprise (UEAPME) and the public sector employers' organization (CEEP) launched their joint work programme for the coming three years, the details whereof have been furnished.

Employer merger advances

There are positive developments in the merger talks between the Finnish industry and employers (TT) and the employers' federation of service industries (PT). It is understood that decisions on the merger is expected to take place on February 12, 2004.
