The pattern of diffusion of employee share-ownership schemes in Britain: some key findings
Article Abstract:
The growth of employee share-ownership schemes has been boosted by United Kingdom government tax incentives, with the schemes adopted throughout a variety of industries and organizations which are not usually associated with innovative industrial relation practices. Data from the 1990 and 1984 Workplace Industrial Relations Surveys are used to assess the larger industry influence and the existing relationship between management and employees. Multivariate statistical analysis is used to examined these influences.

The importance of national institutional arrangements: The case of trade union membership and unemployment
Article Abstract:
Trade unions in some EU countries have a central involvement in the administration and distribution of unemployment benefits. Unemployment assistance or support schemes were studied in four special-case countries of Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Three explicit testable hypotheses were developed, and the findings confirm the role and strength of national institutional arrangements.
