The trend to a global TCN Benefits Program for US companies
Article Abstract:
US-based international companies, in a bid to be the ultimate guarantor of each third country national's (TCN) benefits, have been more inclined toward administering TCN benefit plans than any other employee group. However, this traditional approach is not right for a global business since global company employees need benefits that are transferable from one employer to the next and are safe against inflation. A newer, global approach in TCN benefits involves the freezing of accrued benefits, enhancing plan contributions and buying out any shortfall in the plan with a one-time payment.
