Variations in human resource management in Asian countries: MNC home-country and host-country effects
Article Abstract:
A new study investigates the human resource management (HRM) practices of companies, both local and foreign-owned, operating in Taiwan and Korea. The determinants of HRM systems are examined and analysed using statistical techniques. Pronounced differences in HRM practices and policies are found in several areas, including employee rewards, employee influence and staffing, depending upon the firm's home country and internal culture.

Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to examine the impact of high-performance work system (HPWS) techniques on organizational performance in four East and Southeast Asian economies that are at the forefront of Asia's raid development. Statistical techniques are used to measure the effects of HPWS techniques on perceived financial performance.

Article Abstract:
The moderating impact of collectivism on the relationship between transformational leadership and work-related outcomes is examined in case of three emerging market economies. The results lend support to the view that transformational leadership might be effective across cultures.
