A new shade of litigation; state allowed to proceed in lead-paint damages suit against manufacturers
Article Abstract:
A Rhode Island court's permission for the state to proceed with a suit for the public and private abatement of lead paint as a nuisance claim is discussed. Lead--based paint manufacturers will be sued for paint removal, medical treatment of state residents injured by lead paint and educational services about lead paint hazards.

Article Abstract:
Law practice in the rural areas of North Dakota and other midwestern states is discussed. Many of these states are actually losing population, particularly in their rural areas, but researchers and conservation groups are trying to encourage bison ranching and ecotourism.

A debate increasing between family law experts pitting the interests of parents trying to obtain child support and privacy law experts is discussed. The parents are trying to obtain the information used by government child-support collection programs.
