Dealing with religious freedom in the workplace; employees must be able to observe their faith, within limits
Article Abstract:
The balancing act required of employers to avoid claims of religious-based harassment by proselytizing employees and yet protect those employees' religious freedom is discussed. The best way to prevent harassment is to educate employees and prompt investigation of complaints of such harassment is always necessary.

Claims of retaliation continue to increase; even employees whose primary claims are dismissed can sometimes proceed on secondary ones based on adverse actions
Article Abstract:
The increase in employee suits claiming unlawful retaliation is discussed. Such charges accolunt for more than a quarter of those filed with the EEOC and nearly doubled from 11,096 in 1992 to 19,694 in 1999.
