No more 'policy of the week;' put an end to staff uncertainty by assembling a manual of office guidelines
Article Abstract:
Sole practitioners and small law firms should develop employee manuals to formalize previously informal policies and create new ones responding to changes in labor laws and current office situations. Such firms and sole practitioners often downplay the need for employee manuals, and the belief that informality is the best policy is common. Manuals should include policies on employee benefits, ethics, and even approved service providers, so there will be no work stoppage when questions arise.
