Washington Legal Foundation v. Texas Equal Access to Justice Foundation is discussed, a federal district court case which ruled that a Texas IOLTA program was not a regulatory taking of clients' fimds.and no compensation was due to the clients even if a taking did occur.

Negotiating publishing contracts for attorney-authors is discussed. The grant clause should cover rights in different publishing media, although the electronic book grant will usually need to be a separate clause. Royalty payment items, as well as the payment of advances, to be checked by attorneys in the contract are discussed.
