Selecting a litigation support solution
Article Abstract:
The requirements of a law firm may vary considerably, depending on the size of the organization, when selecting litigation support software, but there are common factors for consideration. Litigation software focuses on the specific needs of a litigation team and includes features for managing records, documents, cases and transcripts. The initial step in selection is to identify the firm's primary practice areas and to identify the typical documents that will be handled by the system. System requirements also need to be identified as well as the types of information that will be handled. An IS staff familiar with this type of system is strongly recommended.
