Selling contracts revisions, again; new drafting committee gears up for another whack at updating the UCC
Article Abstract:
The controversy over proposed revisions to Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) 2 is discussed, and the end product will probably give neither consumers nor industry exactly what they wanted. Opponents had argued that some of the extensive revisions to UCC 2's language and structure would cast doubts on case law.

Prying off tort reform caps; states striking down limits on liability and damages, and status of limitation
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the growing number of state courts to have struck down various ways of limiting tort liability such as strict statutes of limitation and limits on damages. The author describes cases and mentions that some legislatures have tried a similar approach in tort reform legislation.

SEC Regulation FD enacted in Oct 2000 requiring companies that disclose material information to Wall Street insiders to also give this information to investors on the street is discussed. Vehicles of public disclosure have included press releases, Web site postings, and public SEC filings.
