What every lawyer needs to know
Article Abstract:
Every lawyer should seem knowledgeable when discussing cases with a specialist and be able to detect problems in areas they do not usually work in when doing work for a client. Nine areas are covered including the disclosure of material for discovery under new Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(a)(1), prenuptial agreements, medical care decision-making, tax auditing, age discrimination actions, Freedom of Information Act requests, evaluating office leases, copyright law and effective negotiating. Noted authorities in these currently much-litigated fields are cited as authorities.

Article Abstract:
Attorneys and judges in the states along the Mississippi River improvised as best they could during the Great Flood of 1993. Measures included portable toilets set up outside courthouses, leniency about employee hygiene since there was no running water for them to bathe in and holding court in whatever facility was available when courthouses were closed. When courthouses had to close some employees even did duty on the sandbag lines.
