Aerial owner
Article Abstract:
The BBC has struck a deal believed to be worth more than 210 million pounds sterling to sell its 740 transmitter sites in the UK to Castle Tower Corp (CTC), a US company which is mainly involved in installing and managing telecommunications aerials. The deal includes a 10-year contract to transmit BBC1 and 2 in analogue and BBC national and local analogue radio. Some observers believe that CTC plans to expand its international activities, with UK television serving as a base from which to enter digital broadcasting.
