Bush House move mooted for News
Article Abstract:
BBC News is actively studying plans to transfer its bi-media news operation from Television Centre to Bush House. In 1997, BBC News officials made an admission that the purpose-built, four-story News Centre, which was opened on Jul. 10, 1998,will not be sufficient enough to accomodate 1,200 TV and radio journalists supplying news for the broadcaster's 12 networks and channels across TV, radio and the Internet. Aside from Bush House, other sites are being studied as potential home to BBC News, including a new 400,000-sq-ft building adjacent to BBC's offices in White City, UK, or within White City itself.
