Ginger Media Group watches profits soar
Article Abstract:
Ginger Media Group's operating profit of 10.5 million pounds sterling for the year ended Jul. 31, 1998, on a turnover of 40.4 million pounds sterling reflected a 72% increase year-on-year. The company's short-term goal is to expand its production base and lessen dependence on vehicles that are fronted by Chris Evans. Ginger TV must produce at least 40 shows annually until the end of 2000 under its TFI agreement with Channel 4. Ginger Media's plans include concentration on entertainments, with a couple of new pilots in production, The Money Programme for Channel 4 and Weddings for BBC 1 peaktime.
