Emap readies bid for SRH
Article Abstract:
Emap is to make a takeover bid for Scottish Radio Holdings (SRH) before November's end, and has set up the team to achieve the takeover with a bid of around [pounds sterling]240 million. The merger will be mutually beneficial, as the combined entity will run radio stations and newspapers, compete on a level plane with GWR and Capital who are working towards a [pounds sterling] 711 million merger. Emap already holds 27.8% of SRH, which it acquired from SMG in January.

TWG and Emap lift radio sector
