Widely-promoted "The Secret Diary of a Call Girl" on ITV2 earned a peak rating of 11.63% with 1.9 million viewers on September 27, 2007, but failed to influence the ratings of the channel's other shows. "10 O'Clock News" on BBC1 listed a 27.7% share, while ITV1's "Commando on the Front Line" registered an 11.4% share for 30 minutes. Audience share ratings of other UK television programs are also discussed.

Drama brings mixed results for big three

The third season premiere of "Doc Martin" on ITV1, which dominated the TV drama ratings tally in September 2007 with a 31.5% share, has affected the ratings of Channel 4's "It's a Free World".
