Article Abstract:
Lorraine Heggessey gained her television training experience on hard hitting news programmes with a high level of journalistic content. She was appointed head of children's programming for BBC Productions in October 1997, despite having no formal training in children's television. Heggessey sees brand awareness as an important issue to developing Children's BBC (CBBC), which will be achieved through logo and internet marketing.
