National aquatic species risk analysis: a call for improved implementation
Article Abstract:
The Generic Nonindigenous Aquatic Organisms Risk Analysis Process (Generic Analysis), a process used by U.S. federal agencies, has been criticized by some organizations. It is hypothesized that the crtics and the federal agencies that implement the process have focused on in-house risk assessment, and ignored the inclusion of stakeholders in a collaborative risk analysis implementation. It is argued that the Generic Analysis will be effective through this inclusion.

Coho salmon are native south of San Francisco Bay: a reexamination of North American coho salmon's southern range limit
Article Abstract:
A previous research concluded that it is improbable that coho salmon maintained self-sustaining populations south of San Francisco Bay and suggested that hatchery plantings were the source the salmon. Findings of the new study found that it is possible that coho salmon are native to the south of San Francisco Bay as there are no habitat differences between areas immediately north and south of the bay.
