UK British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) daytime controller Jane Lush believes her role is to meet the challenge of producing quality daytime programmes on a limited budget. The BBC claim to be beating ITV in the daily ratings battle, although ITV claim a higher share of viewers. Lush began her career in television in 1970, becoming controller of daytime programmes in 1998.
