Writer/producer Lynda La Plante is keen on details, and employs in-house forensic pathologists and top-ranking police officers to help her in the television series "Trial and Retribution". Known for her work on "Prime Suspect", La Plante considers training writers as a key production challenge. Her U.S. projects and her other plans are discussed as well.

Channel 4 mounts multicultural drive
Article Abstract:
Channel 4 (C4) is reorganizing its policy on multicultural issues. The channel is also calling on producers to bring more ethnic minorities into shows in the mainstream. C4's Tim Gardam, the channel's programmes director, stated that all programme plans should also have ideas about black and Asian people representations.
