The making of 'Hornblower', ITV's flagship autumn drama
Article Abstract:
ITV's 'Hornblower' drama is set for autumn 1998 screening. A feasibility study into the project was carried out in 1981, with scripts written by 1996. The 10 million pound sterling four-part series was funded by United Film & Television along with Arts & Entertainment Network. Filming began in September 1997 and the first part of the series is expected to be broadcast in October 1998.
