From optics to optronics and fire control systems: Some considerations on the sighting systems for individual small arms
Article Abstract:
The increasing use of a variety of optical and/or optronic sight systems for standard-issue individual small arms and the number of industrial offers are turning the small niche sector into one of the most significant current technological and commercial trend as regards military firearms. A wide range of scopes and other optical sights and aiming systems for military/police small arms that are available are discussed.

Advances in artillery design principles and utilization of advanced aerospace manufacturing processes have been adopted to improve the M777E1 lightweight howitzer. The analysis of M777E1 lightweight 155mm howitzer demonstrates that it is truly expeditionary fire system support as it helps in achieving the military objectives such as joint service operations, mobility, versatility, speed and agility.
