Joining the club: Denmark sets sights on advanced AAW
Article Abstract:
The Royal Danish Navy's (RDN) three patrol ships entering service after 2010 will provide anti-air warfare (AAW) capability to the RDN, enabling them to act as NATO command ships. The hulls and main machinery of the patrol ships are built to the same design thus enhancing commonality across the fleet but their roles will be very different as they are to be essentially multirole frigates.
