Jorge Aurello Noguera was appointed as the head of the countryEs intelligence agency, the Administrative Department of Security (Departmento Administrativo de Seguirdad-DAS) by Columbian President Alvaro Uribe on August 2002. He is the second DAS director who is not from the higher echelons of the national police and his appointment is an indication of the level of change the President is demanding.
