New systems finding snipers in Iraq
Article Abstract:
US forces are employing a new Boomerang system to find snipers in Iraq, this new acoustic system is an array of sensors mounted on the mast of a Humvee. When a bullet passes by, it creates a shockwave and these waves are captured by the system and ascertain the elevation and the azimuth of the sniper.

Global Hawk flies with new SIGINT System

The United States Air Force has tested new signals-intelligence (SIGNIT) system in its Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle. The system is aimed to detect radar and electronic signals from an attitude of 60,000 ft.
