Article Abstract:
The Marine Corps Position Location Reporting System (PLRS) represents Department of DefenseEs (DOD) most advanced contribution to tactical Communications, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) development aspirations and how PLRS will be a key to improved fire and maneuver. The successful testing of the PLRS concept can prove out a technology and resolve engineering risks in a multitude of related R&D projects underway within other services.
