Tactical radios: a never-ending saga?
Article Abstract:
Armies continue to use a variety of tactical radios despite efforts by leading armies such as the British Army to rationalize their procurement process. Continued technological advances are likely to keep the number of generations of tactical radios in service as high as possible. Experts, however, agree that future requirements will focus on systems that provide seamless, transparent communications services from front lines.
