A prime minister who deserves better
Article Abstract:
Australian Prime Minister John Howard on May 18, 1999, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his election to the federal government. Although he has had a successful career as a politician, many of the obstacles he faced would have made another person leave his office. Many of his friends in 1989 and in 1993 asked him to walk away from politics, but he rejected their advice, which is reflective of his ambition and persistence.
