Aeroplan spinoff attracts top guns

Air Canada is meeting with major investment dealers in January 2005 to rebuild its banking relationship and discuss restructuring of its debts considering that it emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2004 after a structuring process. Genuity Capital Markets is expected to get Aeroplan that is worth between $1 billion and $1.5 billion, if the airline decides to sell part of the loyalty program in the initial public offering.
