At Funeral for Hussein Sons, A Call for 'Death to America'
Article Abstract:
The funeral for Odai and Qusai Hussein, Saddam Hussein's sons who were killed in Mosul during a US military operation to search for the brothers, turned into a protest for Saddam and against the US presence in Iraq. Military officials took special precaution to prevent Saddam supporters from mobilizing a prolonged demonstration. Only 200 family members and friends attended the funeral ceremony, but they showed their anti-American feelings towards American soldiers and journalists who observed their activities.
