This article describes the agreement by Danish architect Joern Utzon, designer of the Sydney Opera House, to return to Australia for the first time since 1966 to assist in completing and refurbishing his masterpiece in accordance with his original intention. Relevant details include Utzon's abrupt departure in 1966 due to a dispute with the New South Wales government, and plans to have Australian architect Richard Johnson assist Utzon in planning the Opera House's reworking.
