Canfor posts improved results

David Emerson, the chief executive officer of Canfor Corp., has reported the lumber producer earned $40.2 million in profits for the first quarter ended March 31, 2003. Canfor has been hurt by the softwood lumber trade dispute between the United States and Canada.

Doman looks to U.S. financier to manage debt

West Fraser profit tops estimates
