Miller taps plastic for beer anywhere

Miller Brewing is scheduled to roll out its 20-ounce and 1-liter plastic bottles of Miller Genuine Draft, Miller Lite, and Icehouse in stores in Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, San Antonio, TX, Miami, FL, and Norfolk, VA, on Nov. 2, 1998. The plastic bottles, which feature screw tops and wide mouths, are designed to allow easy toting of Miller products in places where glasses are not allowed or inconvenient. The 20-ounce containers will carry a retail price of $1 to $1.25 while the 1-liter version will cost $1.50 to $2.

Quirky xerox ads appeal to boomers
Article Abstract:
Xerox's television advertisements, which targets businessmen and women, have received favorable reactions as shown by an Ad Track consumer poll. The television commercials, which were created by ad agency Young and Rubicam, are part of company's $200 million advertising campaign to upgrade its image as a sophisticated, high-tech firm. The consumer poll showed that 18% of all respondents liked it a lot and 23% from the 40-49 age bracket surveyed gave the campaign the thumbs up.
