Covad postpones earnings; trading stopped
Article Abstract:
Covad Communications postponed its annual earnings announcement and said its restructuring plan would cost more than expected, causing a halt in the trading of its stock. The restructuring plan called for a change in the company's accouting procedures, closure of facilities and layoffs, originally estimated to be worth $20 million. Covad Chmn Charles McMinn said the company needed more time in reviewing accounting changes to reflect more accurately the company's revenues and costs.
