Delay ordered on Iamgold merger vote

An Ontario court ordered a three-week delay of a shareholder vote to allow for rival Golden Star Resources Ltd. to make a formal bid for Iamgold, created a hurdle to the proposed $3.5 billion merger between Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. and Iamgold Corp. Golden Star Resources. It reported that it has no plans to revise the terms of its earlier bid, which was rejected by the Iamgold's board of directors.
