First Marathon seeks electronic muscle

Independent investment dealer First Marathon Inc has named Kym Anthony as president. Anthony, currently the chief operating officer, will continue to run the firm's day-to-day operations while CEO Lawrence Bloomberg will focus on strategy and client relations. First Marathon has also announced its plans to go back to the discount brokerage business which it sold to Toronto-Dominion Bank in 1993. The company will also expand its electronic trading systems to boost its services to institutional and retail brokerage customers.
