Frank Brennan, priest
Article Abstract:
Australian Jesuit priest Frank Brennan describes his role as a political activist, comments on the celibate life of the priesthood, defends attacks on his motives, and defines the relationship between religion and politics. Brennan has spoken out on behalf of the Aboriginal Australians, and believes that many spiritual decisions should be left to the individual. Although his public life has been satisfying, he concedes he misses the fulfillment of an intimate committed personal relationship.
