Hollinger told Black faced ban from all boards

A Hollinger Inc. lawyer confirmed that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission banned chairman Conrad Black from serving as a director of any public company. Some of the directors disclosed the $1.1 million payment made by a Hollinger Inc. subsidiary to Lord Black's private holding company, Ravelston Crop.

Ottawa to tackle satellite piracy

The Ministry of Canadian Heritage has teamed with Industry Canada to back stricter satellite television piracy laws. The new law changes include plans to control equipment imports and raise penalties for stealing satellite television signals.
