Web sites said powerless to foil hacker attacks
Article Abstract:
A new report from Carnegie Mellon University said that Web sites cannot prevent denial-of-service attacks by computer hackers. The report, which was funded by the U.S. government, will aid the university's Computer Emergency Response Team as it tracks and investigates global hacking activity.
