Hot cars put Chrysler Ontario plant in overdrive

The Chrysler 300 and the 300C, the top-of-the-line version of the sedan, which comes with a 5.7-liter engine, have increased its sales. Daimler Chrysler AG's plant is running two shifts of six hours each on Sundays and Saturdays, in addition to the regular Monday-to-Friday production due to the success of the new cars.

Big Three market share declines

Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd., DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. and General Motors of Canada Ltd. Have lost market share in the Canadian retail vehicle market. The over market share for the Big Three dropped under the 50% level for sales to fleet clients.
