F.C.C. to take wireless licensing case to Supreme Court
Article Abstract:
In a complicated bankruptcy case and auction of airwave spectrum licences by the FCC, NextWave Telecom is proceding with its reorganization with money from Wall Street. While still in bankruptcy procedings, it had its licenses seized and then auctioned off by the FCC. An appeals court recently ruled that illegal. Now the White House, the Justice Dept. and the FCC are appealing that latest decision to the Supreme Court.
