Lumber sector wary of new pricing plan

The trade dispute between the United States and canada over softwood lumber has led the government of British Columbia to offer a new auctioning system that fixes the price of softwood timber. The proposed plan, which is being reviewed by the British Columbia Lumber Trade Council, is aimed at persuading the U.S. Department of Commerce to lift trade duties on lumber.
