Martha Stewart was found guilty of obstructing justice and lying to the government and the effect of her jailing on the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. would be severe. It was expected that if the sentence is lenient she could come back quickly as a force in her industry and in the middle-class decorating culture, which she dominated.

CoolBrands' hit by lawsuit from U.S. firm

The U.S. firm Weight Watchers International Inc. cuffed CoolBrands' International Inc., with a law suit, alleging 'anticipatory breach'. However, none of the allegations are proved in the court and hence CoolBrands' chief executive officer David Stein announced that the company plans to vigorously contest the action.
